This sporran is 8" wide and 7 1/2" tall. The flap is fastened by putting an antler piece on a leather thong through a braided suede loop laced to the flap. We believe this is the oldest type of secure fastener: the weight of the antler piece will simply hold the flap down for easy access if it is put through the loop in one direction. If the antler piece is put through the loop in the opposite direction, it will lock it down. |
